Bantleon grows into new dimensions

Bantleon has completed the acquisition of the former NORD/LB Asset Management AG, which has been operating under the name Warburg Invest AG since 2018 and will be named Bantleon Invest AG in future, following approval by the supervisory authorities BaFin and FINMA. As a result, an asset manager with assets under management of more than EUR 21 billion and assets under administration (AuA) of more than EUR 41 billion and more than 140 employees has been established.

»With the acquisition of the former NORD/LB Asset Management AG, we have once again significantly strengthened our core competence in bond management. Together with our new colleagues, we will manage about 6 billion euro only in the corporate bonds sector«, explains Stephan Kuhnke, Chairman of the Executive Board of Bantleon AG. »But also our equity management has grown significantly and, in addition, we can now offer our clients first-class Master Management Company services.«

Bantleon had already selectively extended its own product range and expertise in previous years. Both companies primarily serve institutional clients. Bantleon specialises more in active management, while the new subsidiary manages portfolios more closely to the capital markets based on individual customer requirements and also provides first-class Management Company services: In the TELOS Satisfaction Survey 2022, the company was awarded as best Master Management Company in the German market.

»With more than 30 portfolio managers, three of the world's best economic analysts and the most customer-friendly Master Management Company in Germany, we can serve the fundamental demands of institutional investors at the highest level and from a single source«, Kuhnke notes. »In addition, Bantleon is now also a solution provider for distribution partners who want to launch their own investment funds.«
