Dr. Harald Preißler is Capital Market Strategist as well as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board at AG, Zurich, and Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Invest AG, Hanover.
After his studies in economics at the University of Würzburg with the main emphasis on monetary policies, economic cycles and growth theory, mathematical economic theory as well as empirical economic research, he first of all started working as a research assistant at the Universities of Würzburg and Ulm. While he was doing his PhD to become a Doctor of Economic Science, which he completed with a »summa cum laude«, he already started working as a Senior Analyst at AG in Switzerland in 1999.
In the year 2001, he was appointed as Head of Economic Research. He became Chief Economist at AG in 2005 and was nominated Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in 2010.
At the end of 2017, Harald Preißler relinquished his duties as Chief Economist in order to concentrate on the further expansion of the Asset Management as CIO. In September 2018, he joined the Supervisory Board of AG, which changed its name to AG in May 2022, as Vice Chairman. In August 2023, he was also elected to the Supervisory Board of Invest AG. In these functions, he is responsible for the strategic development of the asset manager .
