Bantleon further strengthens fundamental equities team

The asset manager Bantleon has expanded its fundamental equity management by hiring Leonard Keller as portfolio manager. Therefore, the Munich-based equities team now comprises five portfolio managers/analysts.

Leonard Keller will strengthen the portfolio management team on the identification, analysis and evaluation of investment opportunities in the fields of merger arbitrage, relative value and special situations. He brings several years of experience in investment banking/M&A to the team. Most recently, Leonard Keller worked for the M&A boutique Harris Williams & Co. in Frankfurt and previously for Barclays as well as Hauck & Aufhäuser.

»By hiring Leonard Keller, we are strategically strengthening our alternative equity strategies,« explains Sebastian Finke, Head of Portfolio Management Equities. »In the ongoing low-interest rate environment and given the dwindling diversification effects in traditional asset allocation, the importance of alternative equity and arbitrage strategies that offer access to uncorrelated returns will continue to grow. With our strategies, both institutional and private investors receive a reliable return component for every economic environment.«
