The asset manager Bantleon has expanded its expertise in the analysis of infrastructure equities by hiring Johannes Maier as new equity market specialist. He is responsible for the analysis of European and global infrastructure equities and the preparation of the corresponding investment decisions. Johannes Maier has more than eight years of professional experience with financial service providers. He has worked for UBS in New Orleans and Bloomberg in New York.
In this way, Bantleon is pushing ahead with the expansion of its alternative equity strategies in terms of personnel and topics. Last year, Susanne Reisch (Senior Portfolio Manager Infrastructure Equities) and Oliver Scharping (Portfolio Manager Alternative Equity Strategies) were hired.
»We are delighted that we have been able to recruit Johannes Maier, an experienced analyst for the long-term investment theme of infrastructure,« explains Stephan Kuhnke, CEO and Head of Asset Management. »Infrastructure companies will have above-average growth potential in the coming years and will be able to pay consistently high dividends due to their often monopolistic business models. In an environment of declining capital market returns and partly negative interest rates, we can secure long-term capital preservation for our clients by focusing on infrastructure equities and alternative equity strategies.«
