Reliable even in the trade war: According to Bloomberg News, the economic research team at Bantleon remains among the world’s leading economic forecasters, once again demonstrating the high forecast quality. In the evaluation of forecasts for key economic indicators for 2024 and 2025, Chief Economist Dr. Daniel Hartmann took second place for the Eurozone, as he did last year. Bantleon also climbed the ranks for the US economy from third to second place.
According to Bloomberg, Bantleon’s economic research team, consisting of Chief Economist Dr. Daniel Hartmann and Capital Market Strategist Dr. Harald Preißler, has consistently ranked among the world’s best forecasters for the Eurozone since 2011. During this period, the team was regularly ranked among the top five analysts, and even took first place on several occasions (2011, 2020, 2021 and 2023: rank 1; 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2024 and 2025: rank 2). Bantleon has also been a reliable leader in US economic forecasts for years: since 2014, the team has consistently ranked among the top 10, and since 2021, it has even consistently ranked among the top three. This is impressive proof of the high quality and consistency of its economic analyses.
»We are very pleased that, despite numerous geopolitical disruptions, our economic research team has once again achieved top rankings at Bloomberg in 2025,« says Stephan Kuhnke, Head of Asset Management at Bantleon. »The systematic approach of our economists enables them to maintain an overview despite numerous influences such as political shocks, statements by central bankers, economic data, oil price and exchange rate movements, and natural disasters. Numerous institutional investors – from pension funds to banks and industrial companies to hedge funds – already make use of our assessments and forecasts for their investments due to our consistently high quality.«
For the current Bloomberg ranking, concerning the Eurozone the forecasts of more than 20 and concerning the USA of more than 40 international analysts were evaluated based on data submitted to Bloomberg over the past 24 months. In the Eurozone, for example, they referred to the following nine indicators: gross domestic product, consumer confidence, consumer prices, EU Commission economic and industrial confidence, M3 money supply, industrial production, producer prices, and unemployment. To qualify for being ranked, participation in at least 15 of the past 24 months is required for at least five indicators.
