Based on forecasts for various economic indicators for the year 2024, Chief Economist Dr. Daniel Hartmann ranks second for the Eurozone and Senior Economist Dr. Andreas Busch ranks third for the USA. Thus, Bloomberg confirms the excellent performance at the LSEG StarMine Awards of the news agency Reuters for the year 2024, where Dr. Daniel Hartmann ranks first with his forecasts for the Eurozone, Germany and France.
According to Bloomberg, Bantleon’s economic research team, consisting of Chief Economist Dr. Daniel Hartmann, Senior Economist Dr. Andreas Busch and Capital Market Strategist Dr. Harald Preißler, has consistently ranked among the world’s best forecasters for the Eurozone since 2011 and regularly belongs to the »Top 5« (2011, 2020, 2021 and 2023: rank 1; 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2024: rank 2). In addition, the team has consistently ranked in the »Top 10« for the USA since 2014, and has even managed to achieve a podium finish (2nd and 3rd place) every year since 2021.

For the current Bloomberg ranking concerning the Eurozone, the forecasts of more than 20 international analysts were evaluated based on data submitted to Bloomberg over the past 24 months. Overall, the ranking referred to the following nine indicators: gross domestic product, consumer confidence, consumer prices, EU Commission economic and industrial confidence, M3 money supply, industrial production, producer prices, and unemployment. To qualify for being ranked in the »Top Forecasters of the Euro-Area Economy«, participation in at least 15 of the past 24 months is required for at least five indicators.
