Following a very successful joint development since October 2024, Bantleon AG has now also acquired the remaining 38% stake in Bantleon Convertible Experts AG, formerly Credit Suisse Investment Partners (Switzerland) AG. Subject to approval by the supervisory authority FINMA, the Asset Manager will thus hold 100% of the shares in the Zurich-based convertible bond specialist.
Strong growth in performance and AuM
»The founders and minority shareholders initially wanted to wait and see how their company would develop under the Bantleon umbrella,« says Stephan Kuhnke, CEO of Bantleon AG, explaining the phased takeover. »The past 20 months have shown that the impressive performance of the convertible bond funds, the excellent relationship management provided by Bantleon and the entrepreneurial culture of both companies provide an ideal combination.« As a result, the assets under management at Bantleon Convertible Experts AG have risen by 31% since October 2024 to 1.3 billion euros. »Our expectations have been significantly exceeded,« notes Stefan Hiestand, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, with satisfaction. »For me, as the founder, it is particularly important that the company is in good hands for the long term and can continue on its successful path. Through a long-term profit-sharing arrangement, I will remain associated with the company in the future.«
Multiple awards for two funds
Bantleon Convertible Experts AG is probably one of the best convertible bond managers in Europe in the conservative segment. Thanks to their consistently strong risk-return profile, the company’s two mutual funds were once again awarded by the renowned fund analysis company LSEG Lipper in 2025 and 2026: The dynamic convertible bond fund Bantleon Global Convertibles was among the winners of the »LSEG Lipper Fund Awards 2026«, in which Lipper recognised the funds with the best risk-adjusted returns over various time periods. Bantleon Global Convertibles (USD share class LU2279741255) ranked first in the »Bond Convertibles Global« category in comparisons covering 3-year, 5-year and 10-year periods in Europe, Germany and Switzerland. Last year, the fund had already received Lipper Awards for its outstanding risk-adjusted returns over a 5-year period in Europe and Switzerland, as well as over 5 and 10 years in Germany. In addition, the defensive convertible bond fund Bantleon Global Convertibles Investment Grade was ranked the best fund in its category in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Europe in the 3-year comparison at the 2024 Lipper Fund Awards. It also received a Fund Award from the financial magazines €uro, €uro am Sonntag and Börse Online in both 2025 and 2026. Furthermore, in a 10-year comparison, it ranks among the top 10% in the category Return and the top 10% in the category Risk/Return within the peer group analysis of Absolut Research (as of 04/2026).
